TICKLE YOUR STORY BONES
Rituparna, I'm very happy to meet with a mentor who truly believes and advocates self growth and self expression.
Many other courses which one does on social media, have written out templates and standard formula to use, to become instantly successful
(And participants are thrilled to receive such a hand me downs)
Thank you for being different and believing in the power of each individual to be unique and find meaning and success in their own ways after understanding the framework.

STORY UP!
Hey Rituparna,
I admire your simplicity and the way you put across your thoughts ..it's commendable. Lots of takeaways are there for me from the last two sessions, most importantly is the idea of not being judged has really helped me to open up .

The Dhriiti story is as much a story of the team as it is of the entrepreneurs. I am now waiting for stories of each one of us - how we spend our day changing the world one entrepreneur at a time.

We should do a storytelling retreat!

  1. There's a story ingrained in everything, even a small conversation, childhood memories, even inanimate objects have a story.
  2. Learnt that storytelling is vital for everyday work, reaching out to people and connect with them.
  3. People perceive things differently, eg. The picture from the film Sholay @Ramesh remembered Basanti, for me it took me back to the experience of watching it, I was with my family, despite not knowing Hindi that time I remember singing along the song or crying when one of them died at the end.
  4. Stories can be a medium, facilitator and translates emotions and things/indicators which cannot be measured.
  5. The work we do apart from the reports needs to be translated into stories and every aspects needs to be celebrated- the journey, the struggles, the failures and not just the achievements.

Before you start a story, see what the other person is interested in. That's the first thing that I take away.

Loved the way you gave an introduction to the course. It has motivated me to continue. BTW, you have a lovely voice and an expressive face which I suppose are prerequisite to storytelling.

Informative and exciting!

It was a very different experience. I never saw stories from these many angles. It will help us to create stories in a more effective and in a detailed way.

STORYTELLING FOR ENTREPRENEURS
Using Stories to create a Brand

Earlier the brand story I was working on was just one side of the story that was about me, after this workshop I understood how to create a story where my customers or stakeholders are also a part of my story. One distinct idea I got from this is telling the transformation story of my brand and creating a convincing and transparent view of my brand by Creating a Story around it.

When you talk about a particular 'listener' try & find out their personality. What do they normally do & what stops them from 'listening' to you. Understanding your listener is an important parameter in telling your story.

A big thank you, Rituparna!

We have got to thank you for bringing us all together & speak about “stories”. The session was very educative - packed with bags of ideas to craft our stories better & make it more powerful. Especially loved the theories & science behind the art of storytelling. Looking forward to learning, sharing, and debating more on storytelling.

Very Actionable…

Could relate with what do- and can do- given WWF…a lot more with the material we already have. Be more impactful even if quantitatively less.

Little touches: a lacing of humour, more optimism-that change can and does happen bit by bit, and being clear on who the prime audience is are all so doable.

Looking forward to the WWF specific session in part 2 now…

The workshop reignited my fire for storytelling and thinking beyond the traditional means of communicating our ideas and thoughts. I also connected and got to know our colleagues, working across different verticals, a lot better. Going forward, they'd play a critical role in shaping any story I craft.

Thanks a lot, Rituparna!

The instructor is so good at what they do. The session was really valuable to me. In addition to the amazing and very specific prompts for better storytelling, Rituparna actually helped me improve my product. Her suggestion of showing “things a user can do” around a clean toilet on the app is such a great idea. Thank you!

This was a very insightful session. It got me thinking from the listener's point of view, as opposed to what you want to shove down someone's throat!
